This reminds me of a recent meeting at work that @Crap Throwing Clavin may appreciate

 

STIG requirement: Server administrator must audit login attempts to the server at least once per week

 

Resolution is to ingest server logs into a SIEM.  Log results are fed into a dashboard that admins must check at least once per week

 

To ensure admins check dashboard, dashboard access is logg3d and fed into another dashboard that auditors must check weekly

 

When I raised the issue of how do we ensure the auditors are checking the logs, I was met by three responses.  Those in attendance that knew me either glared at me for being a troll or had a look on their face like the centurion for Bigus Dickus

Yep, build a dashboard to audit the auditors who audit the admins auditing their system.
