Saw it, but then there's this little ditty from Serbia...

But the breaking news is Macron married a man. Maybe that's why the elites are pushing transgendering so hard - to normalize it, so couples like the Macrons, Obamas and Schumers of the world can come out in polite society.

Unless they're planning on assassinating another obscure Archduke again, I wouldn't take seriously a word of that.

"Rogue" submarine.  :classic_laugh:

The USN is "searching for it" because it's a great training and intel opportunity.  Doubtlessly there's more than just a P-8 involved (figure also at least one submarine).

Heck, back during the cold war we had planes that literally tracked Soviet sub movements every single day.  When the Soviet Union broke up a lot of those flights were used instead on the War on Drugs and a lot of those Naval Officers left the Navy because that job was just as tedious but didn't come with the same sense of doing something to keep our nation free.

Sad to think how much those capabilities might have deteriorated through the years.

The stories of subs tracking Russian subs are interesting.  I forget which book I just read on those...things like tracking a Yankee SSB for three weeks, and getting underwater pics of the hull.

that's a fun way to ask for funding for their military to stand up to WW3.

  WTF?

Keep in mind that in the Ukraine, in part they view the Nazis as liberators - about the only people to do so, and more so than any other people.  So it's less an antisemitic thing than in most European cultures.    That's also not helped by the fact that Ukraine from '41-44 was this kaleidoscope of different resistance groups that allied themselves with each other, Russians, and Germans on a constantly shifting basis...meaning some groups may have had a confluence of interests with other groups (including Russians and Germans) at some points, but then abandoned them at others.

So there's this very weird historical context Ukrainians have that almost no one else has.  And it's a pretty ignorant context, since the Nazis considered all Slavs untermenschen, and wanted to kill them as much as they wanted to kill Jews (google "Hunger Plan."  Believe it or not, even more horrific than the Final Solution), regardless of what Ukrainians thought whatever thoughts they were thinking at what point.

So there is an explanation behind it...though it's still just &#%$ing weird as shit.

What's maddening is this is known, historical fact - and the West (specifically the US media and its attack dogs) spent close to a decade drilling into the public's head that Ukraine has a high concentration of Neo Nazi support and allegiance when it served their geopolitical purposes. They did this for years in the run up to the 2014 coup - I remember multiple articles decrying Russians supporting Nazis (wut?) in Time, The Economist, WSJ, WaPo in the 2010-2013 range. Then, in 2019 those same attack dogs and spox bent over backwards in public saying there are no Nazis in Ukraine, never have been, and anyone saying there is are either Putin apologists, conspiracy theorists, or a combination of the two.

Because it's a hard sell to the American public to raise money for Nazis after spending the time period between 2016-2020 claiming Nazis are on the rise in the GOP and America and we have a duty to do anything and everything we can to stop them - regardless of due process, the rule of law, or common sense. So rather than having a complex and complicated conversation with the public, they act as if we're stupid instead.

But there's one thing the US Administrative State has proven since the 1930s - they love them some Nazis. Either as an ally or foe - just depends on the day. If they can make them public enemy to motivate voting blocks, increase their own powers, great. If they can bring them in illegally during the war to run NASA and our IC while lying about doing so for nearly 40 years, even better.

But if you call them out for playing both sides you are mocked, ridiculed, or diminished in public society. That's what's offensive. Not the complicated history of the region - but that our "betters" think we're so dumb that not only will we not understand such a complicated history and reality on the ground, but that we'll also forget the years of stories on this subject they wrote in their own publications stating such realities only a few years prior.

All in the name of fattening their wallets, not "protecting democracy" and damn sure not in the name of protecting Ukraine.

Not only "pro-Russian rhetoric", but simply opposing the continuation of the war. And not only "EU countries", but American citizens who voice their opinions.

etc...

Oh and it's not really a Ukrainian enemies list, it's a list of anyone who the current US administration considers an enemy.
