Von Miller ‘angry’ at critics following disastrous season with Bills

All the naysayers have Von Miller fired up.

Coming off the worst season of his career, a zero-sack disaster following an ACL injury, the Bills’ star pass rusher lashed out at those who believe he’s finished.

“My biggest individual goal is just getting back to playing my style of football,” Miller told SI.com. “It’s crazy how you get injured, and you come back, and you really shouldn’t have even been playing, and people judge you by a product on the field. I could have easily sat out all of last season, but I couldn’t do my teammates like that. I felt like being later in my career, I didn’t want to sacrifice any of my years.

“But at the same time, I shouldn’t have been out there. I feel like people are judging me on that, so it’s making me a little bit angry, to be honest.”

That was clear. I never understood why he played as many snaps as he did.

Nothing personal, Von.  But with that injury at your age, it's a long-shot for anyone to come back.  I do think you're finished.

But I'll be downright giddy if you prove me wrong.  Again, nothing personal.

I’m glad he came back last year. I think sitting out a full year and a half wouldn’t have helped his recovery. And by the time the playoffs came around he was turning up the heat, did he get any sacks? No, It didn’t show up in the stat sheet but he was getting some pressure on the qb. Hopefully this year he’s all the way back! I don’t think he would be all the way back, or at least as far as a 35 year old edge rusher who has had two acl injuries can come back, if he sat out all last year.

I really detest posts like this.

Yes, he said he'd be back in 6 months. Yes, in hindsight he realized he tried to return to early, because that's what leaders do. They keep everyone upbeat and moving toward something positive and then correct themselves as they go.

All those things can be true, you clickbait idiot.

I always post links or snips for informative purposes. If they lead to discussion - positive or negative - so much the better.

That wasn't his joke.

Though I don't blame you for missing - or ignoring - the joke, as it was terminally putrid.  I wish I didn't get it.

This was the part. As if he was speaking to you calling you a clock bait idiot, which we are all 99.9% sure @IDBillzFan would never say to you.

Correct. I was commenting about Banged Up Bills' post. He generally posts some good info during the season in terms of who's hurt from last week, and whether they'll play in the upcoming game.

But I feel some of these dudes also post stuff for clicks, which to me is the equivalent of spending the regular season on a stripper pole at Olympic Gardens in Vegas, and the offseason on a pole at a gentlemen's club in Tonawanda.

I think you make a good point. A lot of guys off of MCL/ACL/Achilles injuries requiring surgery do not trust their legs after the surgery. We saw that with Tre White his first season back, and then the first half of last season with Miller. It's normal human instinct to protect yourself.

Miller got a lot of game reps and has trust in his legs again. I'm happy he is at the DL/ pass rush camp. It looks like there are a lot of work outs focusing on cuts and agility movements. He looked pretty good in them and won't be hesitant.

Not sure what he has left, but a guy like this will want at least one 'revenge' tour. A lot of NFL players have come back for 1 more strong season off of ACL/ Achilles to then fade again. Hope he has that one good season left in him. I won't bet against it.
