Wait...wasn't the argument always that Hunter was working as a private individual?

Now they're claiming executive privilege?

That's a massive pile of bullshit.

Compared to the other piles or added to the other piles?

Comer Subpoenas Mayorkas, DHS & Secret Service Employees After Obstructing Investigation into Politicized Hunter Biden Criminal Investigation

House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) today issued six subpoenas to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Secret Service after DHS employees blocked the Secret Service from sending information to Congress regarding the Justice Department’s misconduct in the Hunter Biden criminal investigation. Chairman Comer’s subpoenas compel DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to provide all documents and communications regarding the Biden transition team being tipped off about the planned Hunter Biden interview in December 2020; all documents and communications related to Congress’s request; and depositions with DHS and Secret Service employees involved with providing the response to Congress.

“The Department of Justice initiated the Biden family coverup and now DHS under the leadership of Secretary Mayorkas is complicit in it. Investigators were never able to interview Hunter Biden during the criminal investigation because Secret Service headquarters and the Biden transition team were tipped off about the planned interview. This is just one of many examples of the misconduct and politicization during the Department of Justice’s investigation. The Oversight Committee – along with the Judiciary and Ways and Means Committees – is seeking interviews with key witnesses, including employees at the Secret Service. The Department of Homeland Security is obstructing our investigation by muzzling the Secret Service from providing a response to Congress. The American people deserve transparency, not obstruction. House Republicans will hold the Biden Administration accountable for running interference for the Biden family’s corruption and criminal activity,” said Chairman Comer.

IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley’s sworn testimony reveals that FBI and IRS investigators sought to interview Hunter Biden on December 8, 2020, without giving notice that the interview would occur. However, on December 7, 2020, FBI headquarters tipped off Secret Service headquarters and the Biden transition team about the planned actions the following day. This account was confirmed to the Oversight Committee during a transcribed interview with a former FBI Supervisory Special Agent who accompanied the IRS whistleblower during the attempt to interview Hunter Biden. Following these actions by FBI and the Secret Service, the interview of Hunter Biden did not occur.

Then-VP Biden Signed Off on Hunter Business Partner’s Burisma Talking Points, Email Reveals

House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer (R., Ky.) sent a letter to the National Archives and Records Administration on Wednesday requesting “unrestricted special access” to communications between the office of then–vice president Joe Biden and Hunter Biden or his business associates.

The letter requests unredacted copies of the documents included in NARA’s “Records on Hunter Biden, James Biden, and Their Foreign Business Dealings” file.

Among the requested documents is a December 4, 2015, email in which longtime Biden family business associate Eric Schwerin sent quotes to Biden’s then–communications director Kate Bedingfield that he said the White House should use in response to media outreach regarding Hunter Biden’s role on the board of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma.

Schwerin sent the email at 10:45 a.m. that day. Bedingfield responded hours later at 2:30 p.m. saying, “VP signed off on this.”

We'll need a new thread if it passes. Don't count on it passing though.

Rep. Comer to Newsmax: Impeachment Inquiry Vote Possible Mid-Sept.

I think they want the inquiry because that cuts through the “ongoing investigation “ BS from the DOJ. They can basically demand, and get, stuff the DOJ wants buried.

Now, to see if that works.

They still have their security clearances.

What a coincidence! Those same three are members of the Dirty 51. They signed that letter falsely claiming Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation. Morell organized the dishonest missive at the prompting of then-Biden campaign operative Tony Blinken, now SoS. The Dirty 51, mainly ex CIA, including Biden’s partner in Ukraine’s destabilization, John Brennan, signed the letter to help Biden win the 2020 election, as Morell has admitted in testimony to Congress. They wanted to give him a response when Trump called him corrupt during the final debate. Worked a treat. Most of the Dirty 51, if not all, still have their security clearances that are worth a motza in civilian life.

Nothing will come of it

If they publish what they find, and the American people know what Biden and his family have been up to, that is good.

He's never going to be removed from office with a Democrat majority in the Senate, and impeachment proceedings can help the subject's popularity. No one wants that.

However, if it raises awareness of his treasonous actions (sadly, that is the best that can happen), maybe the Democrats won't be able to cheat enough to get him re-selected? 🤷‍♀️

But... if the Main Stream Media doesn't cover it, did it happen at all?

NBC already has.

Could be an opp. The Ds want him gone, their good buddys in the R section of the uniparty will take him out for them.  🤷‍♀️

On the other hand, if these findings cause Biden to drop out of the 2024 race before the primaries, he won't have any delegates to gift to Gruesome Newsom or Wanda the Michigan Witch, so the primaries would be interesting.
