Why it matters: It’s a courageous (and potentially problematic) departure from contemporary social trends. In recent years, most “women of the year” lists were considered—by the people who care about such things—to be insufficiently “inclusive” if no transgender individuals were represented.

I doubt many have even thought about it.  Professional basketball players at a level not quite below the real NBA are still more likely than not gonna be Alpha Males whose ego may not try out for the WNBA

 

And then there's the real NBA which is who is funding (and losing money) on the WNBA.  The NBA is super woke and publicly toes the woke line but privately would crush the hoop dreams of any man who tries

Not only did he send her to the hospital but he also is a county field hockey all-star and scored the only two goals of this game, which was a state playoff match.
