Which most liberals find absolutely incomprehensible, as they've been told so often that Trump wants to silence opposition and turn the country in to the Handmaid's Tale.  They should spend more time listening to Democrats.

 

Was talking politics with a relative (big mistake, conversation kind of evolved there) and the relative was absolutely incredulous when told a big reason to NOT vote for Harris is she is anti-free speech.  

 

Honestly don't understand how liberals allowed themselves to be coopted into being progressives.  Disagreed with liberal economic policies, but a lot of their other views (not all, but a lot) could get behind.  Very few progressive policies that aren't covertly authoritarian at best and outright authoritarian at worst.

 

And have an older friend that is absolutely a STAUNCH Democrat, primarily because she is an old school woman's libber and she absolutely doesn't see the damage progressives are doing to "women's issues."  (Other than abortion on demand, are there ANY policies they support that actually provide women more "freedom" than they'd have otherwise?)
