Joe
4 hours ago, Ann said: It is the quandary of this coaching staff being excellent 99% of the time, and shitting the bed 1%. Do they get over the hump eventually? That is the hope as the alternative, a coaching reboot and wasting two years of Josh Allen (this year is a reset due to money and many, including you, are upset) is the alternative. Tough choices. Is there downside risk to change? sure. It's an unknown unknown. But McDermott is a known known, as are his limits

We are seeing the impact of that now.

Or had he rather just not reached his ceiling yet? 1

We are seeing the impact of that now. This is exactly it. McDermott, no matter how frustrating some of his lows have been, is one of the best Head Coaches in the NFL. Statistically he’s in or near the top 10% of HCs of all time. So odds are, that there’s a roughly 90% chance that the guy you replace him with will be worse, while at the same time you’ll be handing Josh his 4th new offense to learn, and you’ll lose 2-3 seasons in roster turnover to build the team that aligns with the new coach’s philosophy and preferences.
stuvian
Clappy turned us around when we were .500 at mid-season last year. He can do it again although I hope it isn't necessary. He's still an upper echelon coach. It bears noting that while Josh has entered his prime earning years, he still earns less than many inferior qbs. In winning percentage...22nd all-time. 14th all-time for coaches who've coached more than 100 games. Among active coaches, only Reid, LaFleur, and Siriani have better win percentages (though Siriani in less than 100 games.)

Tim Lancaster55
I'm Australian and love the Bills!!! Ever since the Jim Kelly days. I'm sick of waking up at 3am on a Monday morning watching one score games that Buffalo lose? Currently? We win big or if close in the 4th quarter I head back to bed for an extra hour sleep before work!!!!
