:popcorn2:

An NFL agent says the #Jets are in "complete disarray" and that Aaron Rodgers isn't a team player.

"There is complete disarray over there. Look at how they've handled Aaron Rodgers. Has one player had more power than him? He skipped minicamp. They have been unable to convert him into a team player. The vibe inside the building is terrible."

Hope this continues and he retires soon.

Chandemonium

I didn’t watch the game last night but saw in the general week one game thread that Tyrod played. Was Rodgers injured or benched?

When you’re on the losing end of a blowout, that’s a nice way of saying he got benched.

Ouch

Even better: since 2015, the Jets have had twelve weeks total with a winning record:

Week 5 of 2017.

Weeks 5-14 of 2022.

Week 8 of 2023.

140 weeks total since 2016.  The Jets have had a winning record for twelve of them.  :classic_laugh:

One game does not make a season, but for those who were quick to assume the Jets were a high-probability SB contender this year almost exclusively because they have a healthy Aaron Rodgers were reminded that no quarterback can make up for a horrible defense.

And the 49ers' offense beat the shit out of Salah's defense, wiped that shit up with the Jets' jerseys and shoved the shit-covered jerseys up their noses.

The game started a bit like Bills v. Cards this weekend, with the Jets just not bringing pressure. They ultimately started bringing 5, but it just didn't matter.  I believe SF had eight straight scoring drives.

The NFL articles are all "You can definitely see what a well-orchestrated offense with Rodgers can look like, and there is plenty to look forward to this year, but..."

Rodgers can't score when the O is on the sideline for most of the games.

Every drive after SF's first (a punt), and except for the final two kneel-downs, was a scoring drive.

Two TDs and six field goals.  If two of those FGs were TDs, it's a 40-19 game.  That game was a lot more lopsided than the score indicates.

Rodgers wasn't any good his last season in Green Bay.  Then he missed an entire season.  Now he's 40 (and he's not Tom Brady).  We shouldn't be expecting much at this point.
