No it's not.

Using the Bills in a derogatory sense is verboten with me.

.

Well I was going for EMT anyways so what's one more log on the fire. But yeah, I think we've all heard plenty of Bills jokes.

The NHL is doing an ASL broadcast of game 1 of the final, and as a hearing person who doesn’t know any sign beyond some basic ones I use at work with minimally verbal children I prefer it to the standard broadcast. The anena audio is there so you hear the ice and the crowd noise, but there’s no audio announcers. The ASL announcers are in a box off to the right side of the screen and not intrusive to watching the game. The only downside is the picture is a little smaller to make room for the announcers. They also  have a shift tracker graphic running across the bottom of the screen, I guess to fill the space and keep the picture ratio the same.

Sweeps avoided via blowouts in both NHL and NBA. Keeps us from the summer sports desert for another few days.

Well at least we have the summer Olympics coming up next month to take us right up to preseason.

This is a series now. Edmonton will be rocking in Game 6.

Tkachuk’s save in the last minute was remarkable.

I wanted Edmonton to get the insurance goal there, but I was almost disappointed they got it on the follow up after seeing that play.

And Ekman-Larsson's nonchalance was nearly criminal.  Had Tkachuk cracked his stick over his melon after that, there wouldn't've been that many people upset with it.

Game 7 is on and will be fun. It’s shocking how Florida has fallen apart after looking so dominant throughout the playoffs.

Yes, and no.  The league has definitely been pulling for the Eulers the past 3 games.  Edmonton's 1st goal was set up by a blatent trip and there's no f'n way that the Cats goal in the 1st minute of the 2nd should've been called back.  Unless there is some other angle that ABC didn't show, there is no clear evidence that Reinhart's skate wasn't above the line when the puck got over the line.  (They changed the rule to allow a play to be onside if any part of the skate is above/touching the blue line.  Agree the skate wasn't touching the line; don't believe there's any way there was enough to overturn the linesman's call (and there wasn't enough to overturn it had the call gone the other way either; it was friggin' close).

Reverse either of those 2 calls and this very well might've been the Cats' game.

And the league just ADMITTED they blew the replay on the 1st Barkov goal.  The official explanation is that the refs determined that the puck was still JUST on the line when the skate of the player without the puck (Reinhart) lost contact with the blue line.  His skate didn't need to maintain contact, it merely needed ANY part of it to be above/on the blue line.

Guess it's another "just give it to 'em" game.  😡

I don't think ABC has all of the looks that upstairs has but yeah it was close, a half an inch offside imo.

And it's over now, they aren't coming back from this. Good, can't wait for the Oilers to win the cup down in south Florida.

They only showed 2 frames of it, but they did show the look from the camera that's right on the blue line.

But, it's nuts to review review the blue line calls that closely.  If you can't tell the call was wrong reviewing it in real time, let it go.  It's way too hard to score for the league to be taking goals like that away.  (And yes, would've thought it was ridiculous had the the Eulers lost a goal that way as well.  Absolutely hate the way the league runs that particular replay.)

Either way, Florida doesn’t look too much like the team that started this series.

Actually they kind of do.  Just Bobrovsky hasn't been making the monster save when they need it.  They start slow and end well (ENG's not withstanding).

I turned it on right after the offsides call, agreed that was iffy.

But in general it seems like they had Edmonton bottled up the first 3 games but since then it’s a shooting gallery on Bob.

Oilers better get their asses in high gear for the next 20 minutes. One goal down is nothing really but they need a cluster of goals here.
