Hardly.  I never starred in a movie about it.

 

Had a friend in college who was a huge Steve Martin fan, and ran into him once at one of the NYC area airports.  Went total fanboy and said "Steve Martin!  What are you doing here!"  Martin looks to his left, looks to his right, leans in, and quietly and conspiratorily says "I'm taking a plane."  And walks away, leaving my friend there saying "Taking a plane!  That's hilarious!"

 

So Martin's basically the same guy in real life that he is on stage.
