I watched the 4 part George Washington bio on Fox Nation. It was mostly him in his 20s and his early military career (it was none too stellar), and covered up to the dawn of the revolution. It was informative and I enjoyed it, my only criticism is halfway through the 4th episode they changed actors to show a more middle-aged Washington.

 

It seems next summer there will be more episodes covering the Revolution, then more in 2026 which I'll assume will be covering his presidency. It's hard to believe by then it will be the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. I remember the Bicentennial like it was yesterday. I don't know what they'll call this one, it looks like the choices are  Semiquincentennial, Sestercentennial, or Quarter Millennial....

Probably my all time favorite western.  (Don't care that it's a "spaghetti western," it's a darn good movie.)  With a great score too.

Talked some about the Battle of Leyte Gulf before...

 

 

Highly recommend reading about the battle - the book I mention above, probably a few others I can recommend if anyone's really interested (although most of mine are professional level).  But I'd recommend watching this 80th anniversary seminar online, too...

Watched Joe Rogen's "Burn the Boats" the other night.

 

Absolutely fantastic in a Bill Burr kind of way.

 

Of course, a quick search shows places like MSNBC trashing it, but that's just all the more reason to watch it.
